Synopsis
This is a collection of web comics Ed Stein created about growing up in Waco, Texas in the 1950s and 60s. "America was changing. The post-war economy was booming. New industries were creating exciting new products for a growing middle class of consumers. Amazing technologies like television were expanding our horizons in profound ways. The Civil Rights movement was just beginning and the Cold War was heating up. It was a great time to be a kid. Mom had one rule: be home for supper. The streets were safe, and if you had a bicycle and a sense of adventure, the world was yours. Then the tornado struck, leaving a path of destruction a third of a mile wide. After the tornado, nothing would ever be quite the same."--Back cover
