I spot the hills
With yellow balls in autumn.
I light the prairie cornfields
Orange and tawny gold clusters
And I am called pumpkins.

In Tatyana Feeney's beautifully color-illustrated adaptation of Carl Sandburg's beloved poem, children delight in the sensory and spooky arrival of autumn.

The book also includes a biography and photo of the poet, information about the poem, and resources to learn more about both Carl Sandburg and writing poetry.
